LAN Airlines
LAN Airlines is the airline of choice from Australia to South America, one of the world's fastest growing markets for business and leisure travel.
A member of the global oneworld airline alliance, LAN operates daily flights from Australia to South America, operating more services to and within South America than any other airline.
From Santiago, the LAN partnership of airlines - LAN Argentina, LAN Peru, LAN Ecuador and LAN Express - offers onward services to more than 50 destinations throughout South America.
The LAN network.
From three key hubs - Santiago (Chile), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Lima (Peru), the LAN partnership of airlines has South America covered, with services to and within nine countries, and onward flights to the North American cities of Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Toronto, as well as to Europe. As well, a code share partnership between LAN and the Brazilian domestic carrier TAM offers LAN passengers access to a range of destinations within the booming market of Brazil.
To maximise travel opportunities, the LAN South America Airpass enables passengers to explore the region with a range of multi sector flights, offering easy access to the best of South America, encompassing destinations including the spectacular Lakes District and the breathtaking natural beauty of Patagonia in the South of Chile, the historic Inca ruins of Machu Picchu, Peru, the breathtaking Iguazu Falls on the border of Argentina and Brazil, and countless other magnificent locations.
The LAN fleet.
LAN continues to update its aircraft fleet with a mix of Airbus and Boeing airliners serving a growing network within and beyond South America. The LAN group of airlines continues to expand its fleet of narrow-bodied Airbus A318, A319 and A320 airliners within South America.
The group recently completed the conversion of its Boeing 767-300 twinjets to include the all-new Premium Business Class, featuring spacious flat-bed seats, large personal video screens and whole new standard of service within South America and beyond to the USA, Canada and Pacific.
And it has just commenced the same upgrade aboard its long-range Airbus A340-300 aircraft, which serve Australia and New Zealand. By the end of March, 2009, all five A340s will feature the new two-class cabin.
LAN is also looking to the future, with orders and options for 32 new Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The first of these long range aircraft, which offer significant new growth opportunities for LAN, is scheduled to be delivered in 2011.
