Cairns Airport (CNS) is Australia's second busiest regional airport and the seventh busiest international airport. The airport is located an easy 7 kilometres from Cairns CBD. The international and domestic terminals at Cairns Airport are separate and may be accessed via a 5 min walk on a covered walkway. You can also pick up a bus terminal transfer for a small fee.
Car hire companies can be found at the north end of the domestic terminal. Short and long term parking is available and is located next to the terminals.
To access Cairns City there are a number of bus shuttle services. Most major hotels and all backpackers have courtesy buses. For the more luxurious holiday, Cairns has a number of limousine companies offering transfers to the city and Port Douglas. Taxies are also available.
