Lying off the Venezuelan Coast, Aruba was settled by the Dutch and this is reflected in its glorious architecture. The Aruba Airport (AUA) is ideally situated just three and a half kilometres or one and a half miles from Oranjestad and it takes only a few minutes to reach the city.
On arrival, head to the Arrivals Hall for a wide range of car rental companies or take the regular bus service offered by Arubus from directly outside. Taxis with fixed prices are also available. Plenty of parking is available within a short walk.
The Airport has Internet connection throughout and many cafes and restaurants and vending machines. Aruba Airport has the best duty free shopping in the Dutch Caribbean.
