Thai Airways

The timeless tradition of gracious Thai hospitality is as much a hallmark of THAI as it is of the kingdom of Thailand itself. When you step onboard a THAI aircraft you will be greeted with a warm Sawasdee (a traditional Thai welcome) just as gentle Thai's would invite you into their home.

Royal first class

The Royal First Class treatment begins when travellers are met curb-side at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport and escorted to a luxurious lounge for effortless check-in.

Seating

Once onboard, the luxury continues. Enjoy the privacy of a segregated cabin boasting the latest innovation in luxury – newly installed sleeper seating. Electronically controlled, the newly designed shell seats convert to superbly comfortable beds, with 180 degrees of recline, almost 7 feet of space to stretch out in and fully adjustable leg and foot rests, making them truly state-of-the-art.

Dining

In-flight dining and a premium bar service, including Dom Perignon on arrival, is a major highlight of THAI's Royal First Class experience. The exquisite presentation of each meal reflects the skill and experience of THAI's master chefs. With choices for every course, dishes are presented, beautifully garnished, on fine porcelain, in a style more suitable for a classic gourmet restaurant.

Entertainment

Entertainment is also at a premium in Royal First Class. Each seat is equipped with the latest interactive Audio-Video On-Demand (AVOD) entertainment system, which allows you to start, pause, fast forward, or stop any of the hundreds of program choices whenever you like, so the hours just fly by. Plus, there's an in-seat telephone and laptop power point to satisfy all your business needs.

Royal silk class

For frequent business travellers, for whom flying is often a major element of their working week, THAI's Royal Silk Class delivers an outstanding option.

Seating

Royal Silk Class seats on each 747-400 and A340-600 aircraft include bed lengths of 76 inches, a pitch of 60 inches and 167 degree recline. On the new 777-200ER aircraft the features include a bed length of 70 inches,
pitch of 61 inches and 163 degrees of recline.

Dining

THAI's master chefs have created innovative menus for Royal Silk Class, which are changed often to create variety for regular business travellers. Meals are served restaurant style, with choices for every course, and always include a premium bar service.

Entertainment

Entertainment options abound in Royal Silk Class, starting at the airport. The lounges at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport offer every possible facility for relaxation, refreshment, or business in the wi-fi/internet connected private meeting rooms and work areas.

Then, once onboard your flight, your electrically controlled seat is equipped with telephone, laptop power point and interactive Audio-Video On-Demand (AVOD) system, offering a selection of latest run movies, TV, games, music, documentaries and flight information, ensuring that there is something to entertain everyone.

Economy class

Not all Economy classes are created equal. From its earliest days, when THAI was just a small regional carrier, the dynamic growth and unrivalled reputation of this airline has been inspired especially by one outstanding feature – the superior quality of its Economy Class.

Seating

Over the past two years, THAI has carried out a massive program to expand and revitalise every aspect of its Economy Class experience. New, wider seats of the latest design and with a generous 32-34 inch seat pitch
for extra legroom have been installed in many of THAI's aircraft, to ensure maximum comfort for all passengers.

Dining

The quality of meals and the full complementary bar and refreshments served to THAI's Economy Class passengers surpass those offered in the Business Classes of many competing airlines. Special care and attention is devoted to the creation and presentation of varied menus and there is a tempting alternative of Asian or Western dishes.

Entertainment

THAI's new interactive Audio-Video On-Demand (AVOD) entertainment system, available on its B777-200ER and A340-500/600 aircraft, offers literally hundreds of entertainment options. With larger screens and touch control commands, passengers can choose between many of the latest multilingual hit movies, classic oldies and popular TV programs.

There are news, travel, destination and information channels, music from jazz to classical, Asian and Western, to please every taste. And there are interactive games and kids cartoons. Plus, toys are always available to keep children occupied, and newspapers and international magazines are offered, including THAI's own Sawasdee magazine, providing interesting reading and information on in-flight entertainment, THAI routes and services.
